Russia-Ukraine conflict: Moldovans open hearts and homes to refugees

The exodus of Ukrainians continues as the conflict worsens. The United Nations refugee agency estimates more than 2.3 million people have fled the country, with well over half of them ending up in Poland.

But other neighbouring countries, including Moldova, are also taking in refugees.

The people of Moldova are stepping up efforts to take care of Ukrainians crossing the border to escape the war. Mercedes Stephenson reports on the generosity and what Moldovans are willing to sacrifice just to help.
