Hundreds form peace sign at candlelight vigil in Budapest in solidarity with Ukraine

1 min read

People who joined a candlelight vigil held for Ukraine formed a large peace sign in central Budapest, Hungary on Wednesday that could be seen from a drone above.

Greenpeace Hungary said on their website that thousands of people had attended the demonstration to call for an end to the war in Ukraine.

Recently, as the violence escalates, a Russian airstrike on a Mariupol maternity hospital that killed three people drew outrage on Thursday, with Ukrainian and British officials branding it a war crime.
